Germany launches second onshore wind power tender (1000 MW)

The German Federal network regulator (Bundesnetzagentur, BNetzA) has launched the second round of tenders for onshore wind projects, offering a maximum of 1,000 MW in new capacities (200 MW larger than the previous round), including a maximum of 322 MW in the grid extension area.

Bids will be due by 1 August 2017 and the maximum bid is set at €7c/kWh. Bids with the lowest price will be selected until the maximum volume is reached.

The prerequisite for participation in onshore wind energy tenders is the approval of the project by the BNetzA three weeks before the bid date.
