The French energy regulator, Commission de régulation de l’énergie (CRE), has pre-qualified ten bidders for the development of a new large offshore wind project, ranging between 250 MW and 750 MW, off Dunkerque in northern France in 2022.
The ten pre-qualified companies or consortia are Statoil, Vattenfall, Elicio, Deme Concessions Wind, InControl France, a consortium of Iberdrola Renovables and RES, a consortium of Engie and EDPR, a consortium of EDF EN, Innogy and Enbridge, a consortium of Boralex and CMI5i Pastor and a consortium of Parkwind and Valeco.
The competitive dialogue procedure will start before mid-2017 to define the specifications of the project. The bidders will have to propose innovative solutions to adapt to the site (intense maritime activity and two Natura 2000 sites). The winner will be announced in 2018 for a commissioning in 2022.
